The hot and sexy bollywood actress Kangana Amardeep Ranaut was born on 20th March 1984 in Bhambla, a village in Mandi District, Himachal Pradesh, India. She lived in Shimla and Chandigarh before moving to New Delhi. Her father Amardeep was a businessman while her mother Asha was a schoolteacher. She has an older sister called Rangoli and a younger brother, Akshit. Kangana Ranaut did her schooling at the DAV Model School in Chandigarh. She went on to study at the Science College in Shimla. Kangana Ranaut was a science student and wanted to be a doctor. She used to study for 19 hours a day to get into medicine but failed to clear her pre-medical test which has changed her life style. She was upset of medical entrance test failure and decided no to study anymore. She has moved to Delhi with Rs.10,000 but she never had any idea what to do. She was spotted by a modelling agency due to her lean structure and curly hair. Kangana Ranaut joined the Elite Modelling Agency but her modeling career did not take off. She also joined the Asmita Theater Group in 2003 and acted in several plays. She enrolled in Asha Chandra’s Acting School.

While doing fashion shows, she used to come to Mumbai often. It was Anurag Basu who spotted her when she was in a coffe shop. Anurag auditioned her thrice then Mahesh Bhatt did the same. The spotlight shone bright on Kangana Ranaut when she stepped into Gangster. Her curls, a thin frame and a child-woman face all set her apart from other actresses. She was only 18 when she signed her first film Gangster and from then on there’s been no stopping Kangana Ranaut, who has made a definite mark for herself in Bollywood.
There is not enough time past when kangana came in the film industry and she had been followed the policy of signing only one film in a year and in the remaining time she wants to concentrate on her other dreams. Kangana is dating Adhyayan Suman, son of actor Shekhar Suman and the couple have co-starred in Raaz. Though Kangana Ranaut is still far behind in the race for top Bollywood heroines, there is no denying the fact that Kangana has managed to make her presence felt in this competitive world of Bollywood.
